As a community-operated pool, both service hours and funds are crucial to maintaining a sustainable summer home. In lieu of raising rates, members can choose to earn 5 volunteer credits per household or pay $50. Both options help offset the rising cost of pool operations.

Click the Volunteer Sign-up Options to see the comprehensive list broken up into categories (Social, Landscaping, Maintenance, and Administrative). Many options have a great deal of flexibility so see what credit opportunities fit your schedule. Many members are already helping on these projects regularly, now you’ll get credit for your service!

The volunteer payment is waived once your household has met the 5 credit requirements. If your household does not meet the requirement, you will receive an invoice in November for $50.

Already know you don’t feel like volunteering? Add the “Pay for Volunteer Credit” product to your cart to authorize the non-refundable pre-payment of $50 in lieu of completing the required volunteer work. This option should be considered if your membership does not intend or is not able to complete volunteer to work to support the pool this summer. Do not select this option if you are uncertain about your volunteer commitments for the summer. Refunds will not be honored if this pre-payment is paid.

SOCIAL COMMITTEE

Help our social director, Christine Mucker execute the social calendar. There are a variety of options including: Bingo, Adult Night, Ladies Night, Trivia Night, Potlucks, Dive Fest, End of School Party and more.

GROUNDSKEEPING

Commonwealth is a big property and requires a lot of member power to keep up. Options include mowing, weeding, weed whacking, and more. Contact our landscaping chairs Amy Cotton or Marc Ripanti.

MAINTENANCE

Our ‘to-do’ list includes projects large and small and can include painting, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. Your suggestions for projects are welcome with your commitment as well.

ADMINISTRATIVE

We’ve expanded our opportunities to include administrative items.  From helping with taxes to posting on social media to reviewing the volunteer hours reports. There truly is something for everyone.
