Leading by Example

Year to year, our Cuda team has more than 100 swimmers ranging from ages 6 to 18. One of the most wonderful parts of summer swim is the relationships forged between our older and younger Cudas.

Our outstanding, well-respected coaches are Cuda alums and senior swimmers dedicated to both the success of the team and the growth and development of each individual as swimmers and community members. They lead by example!

A Legacy of Excellence

In recent years, our athletes have achieved remarkable success, securing back-to-back division championships in 2024 & 2025. Our trajectory is unmatched: the swim team has surged from Division 16 in 2021 to Division 10 in 2026. Last year, five (5) Cudas achieved participation in the NVLS All-Stars, and two Cudas broke long-standing pool records

Cuda Swim Requirements

Swimmers have to be able to swim a length of the pool (25 meters) unassisted to participate on the CUDA swim team. This is to ensure a safe practice for all swimmers. Children who cannot swim the full length of the pool will participate in the Cuda Critters program. For those swimmers who are close, but are not quite ready to practice with the team at the beginning of the season, will be placed in a transitional group of Cuda Critters. These transitional swimmers will be invited to join the regular practice for their age groups and participate in developmental meets as soon as they are able to make it across the pool (25 meters) with a fluent freestyle stroke.
